Caption

Benign dental tumour. Coloured 3D computed tomography (CT) scan showing a cemento-ossifying fibroma (arrows) in the left mandible (jaw) of a 35-year-old woman. Fibromas (or fibroid tumors) are benign (non-cancerous) tumors composed of fibrous or connective tissue. Cemento-ossifying fibromas are hard and fibrous. They are most often seen in the jaw or mouth, sometimes in connection with a fracture or another type of injury.
