Bristol Robotics Laboratory's BERT2 robot. British roboticist Chris Melhuish of the Bristol Robotics Laboratory (BRL) with the BERT2 robot. Melhuish is director of the BRL, which carries out research into bioengineering and intelligent autonomous systems. BERT2 (Bristol Elumotion Robot Torso Version 2) is a humanoid robot being developed to aid research into elements of complex human-robot interaction (HRI), including facial expressions.
