Apollo 15 moon landing mission control. View of the Mission Operations Control Room (MOCR) in the Mission Control Center (MCC) at NASA's Johnson Space Center, Houston, Texas, during the landing of the Apollo 15 Lunar Module (LM) on the moon. The Apollo 15 mission launched on 26th July 1971 and the LM 'Falcon,' with astronauts David R. Scott and James B. Irwin onboard, touched down on the lunar surface on 30th July.
