Pedestrian safety. A visually-impaired person walking over pavement tiles with a raised pattern moulding. This is used to alert the pedestrian to the presence of a crossing point. The patterns shows the approach area (ridges) and the kerb area (bumps) and can be felt through footwear and through the use of a stick. It is painted bright yellow to help the partially-sighted.
