Hydra catch small swimming crustaceans such as daphnia using stinging and adhesive cells on their tentacles (finger-like, upper centre). Prey is ingested via a mouth (circular, centre) at the base of the tentacles. Magnification: x60, when printed 10 centimetres wide.
