Rock hyrax on rocks by the sea. Rock hyraxes (Procavia capensis) live in large colonies throughout southern Africa, Arabia and the Middle East. They feed on grasses, herbs and shrubs, and are thought to be one of the closest living relatives to the elephant. Photographed at Hermanus, Western Cape, South Africa.
