Concrete elasticity analysis. Piezo-electric detector being used to measure the elasticity of a sample of concrete. The sample is tapped lightly to make it vibrate. The device then captures the vibrations within the material and converts them into an electrical signal with a numerical result being displayed on the front panel. The frequency of the vibration depends on the mass of the object and its stiffness, which is determined by its dimensions and the modulus of elasticity of the material.
