Computer history. An Apple II computer on display at a museum in Moscow. The Apple II was one of the first successful microcomputers. It first went on sale in June 1977 and was in production in various updated versions until 1993. The first models had a 1MHz processor, 4 KB of RAM and an audio cassette tape machine for loading programs and storing data. The model seen here has two 5.25 floppy disk drives.
