Endometrial polyp. Gross clinical specimen of a polyp (centre) in the uterus (womb). This polyp, a benign (non-cancerous) growth, has arisen from the endometrium, the lining of the uterus. Endometrial polyps are surgically removed if they grow and cause symptoms or if it is suspected that they are developing into malignant formations.
