Cervical smear showing endometrial cancer. Light micrograph of cells from a cervical smear test showing endometrial sarcoma. This is a cancer of the lining of the womb, the endometrium. The cancerous cells have enlarged nuclei (dark purple). A cervical smear is a tissue specimen scraped from the neck of the womb (cervix) which is then stained and examined under a microscope.
