Bacterial alcohol dehydrogenase. Molecular model of an NADP-dependent alcohol dehydrogenase enzyme from the bacterium Thermoanaerobacter brockii. This oxidoreductase enzyme catalyses the conversion of an alcohol and NADP to an aldehyde and NADPH. It has a function in both glycolysis and gluconeogenesis, metabolic process that generate energy.
