CT scan. A radiographer at the controls of a CT scanner. On one screen is a 3-dimensional view of the patient's thorax with spine, ribs and upper arms. CT (computer tomography) scans use X-rays to provide a virtual 'slice' through the body. These slices can be stacked together to make a digital 3d reconstruction of the bones and other tissues. Photographed in a hospital clinic in Kaliningrad, Russia.
