These are graphs of a system of parametric equations: x=sin(w1*time+delta1); y=B*sin(w2*time); z=sin(w3*time+delta2); which describe complex harmonic motion in space. In this animation, eight different Lissajous curves with different w1 : w2 : w3 ratios are plotted, with delta increasing from 0 to 360.
