Orf. Close-up of blisters on the hands of a patient affected by orf. Orf is a skin disease caused by a parapox virus that occurs mainly in sheep and goats. It is however a zoonotic disease - one that can be contracted from animals by humans. It may last for 7-10 weeks but normally heals without any treatment.
