Squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) skin cancer on the scalp of a 92 year old male patient, about to be treated with radiotherapy. SCC is the second most common type of skin cancer. Most cases arise from pre-cancerous lesions known as solar keratoses, which are caused by sun damage. It mostly affects the elderly and is more frequent in men.
