RDX explosive. Molecular model of the explosive chemical RDX (C3.H6.N6.O6). Also known as T4, cyclonite and hexogen, the full chemical name is cyclotrimethylenetrinitramine. The atoms (spheres) are colour-coded: carbon (grey), hydrogen (white), nitrogen (blue) and oxygen (red). The burst of light in the background represents an explosion.
