Eczema on the right hand of a 53-year-old male. Eczema is a type of skin inflammation (dermatitis) in which the skin becomes itchy and may scale and blister. It can be caused by an allergy or irritation from substances such as detergents, but often occurs for no known reason. Eczema is treated by the application of steroid and moisturising creams.
