Diving suit and equipment. Historical artwork of an 18th-century diving suit made of waterproofed leather, worn with a metal helmet and sheath. This diving suit was designed by German inventor Karl Heinrich Klingert (1760-1828). It was tested in the River Oder in 1797. Artwork from 'La Navigation sous-marine' (1906).
