Galvesaurus dinosaur, artwork. This sauropod dinosaur lived around 147 million years ago during the Late Jurassic. Like other sauropods, it was a herbivorous quadruped with a long neck and tail. It reached lengths of 16 metres and a weight of 9 tonnes. Its fossils have been found in Galve, Spain, for which it is named.
