Bird tracks, Monahans Sandhills State Park. The fresher bird tracks are on top of a fainter series of fox or other similar size mammal track. This park is located in the midst of the Permian Basin of West-central Texas. The pink sands were originally derived from decomposition of Triassic sandstones to the west. The dunes are constantly being shifted and reformed by the wind. In places grasses and shrubs can stabilize these sandy.
