Bodes Galaxy (M33, NGC 3031), optical image. M81 is a spiral galaxy that lies around 12 million light years from Earth, in the constellation of Ursa Major. The yellow centre indicates older stars, the blue areas in the spiral arms are hot, young stars, and the pink areas are lanes of dust in the spiral arms. Imaged by the 0.9M telescope of the West Mountain Observatory, Utah, USA.
