Caption

Vaseline glass. This glass uses uranium as a colouring agent. It is known for its yellow or yellowish-green colour, best detected when placed under a black light. The colour is a reaction created by the uranium dioxide added to the glass. This glass is also known as canary glass or uranium glass. It is fluorescent under ultraviolet light (see C017/3856).
