It has a powerful botanical astringent that, among other things, is known to help manage and control diarrhoea, internal and external bleeding, excessive menstrual flow, nosebleeds and haemorrhoids. It is also a strong botanical antiseptic sometimes used to relieve a wide variety of infections such as vaginal infections, bladder infections, and venereal diseases.
