Human foetus in the uterus, 18th-century artwork. The foetus is aligned with its head near the exit to the uterus into the birth canal. Artwork from a collection of engravings published in 1815, mostly from drawings by Dutch painter Jan van Rymsdyk, who worked in England between 1745 and 1780.
