Kenyte lava. Geological specimen collected during Scott's British Antarctic Expedition 1910-1913 (also known as the Terra Nova expedition). Kenyte is a type of volcanic rock found only in Kenya and Antarctica. This example came from the eruptions of the Mount Erebus volcano, Antarctica.
