Bread mould. Coloured scanning electron micrograph (SEM) of a sporangium of a bread mould (Mucor sp.). Sporangia are asexual reproductive structures where the mould's spores develop. When the spores are mature the sporangium will split open and release the spores into the air. Mangnification: x440 when printed at 10 centimetres tall.
