Ramses-Meiamoun (Ramses II) in his chariot in battle against the Khetas (Hittites). Portrait of the pharoah in a chariot, with hieroglyphics. He is wearing a crown with a cobra, a blue and gold striped robe, and aiming a bow and arrow at his enemies who are shown falling beneath his horses. Image taken from Histoire de l'Art Egyptien, (History of Egyptian Art), with copies of Ancient Egyptian paintings and carvings, by Emile Prisse D'Avennes and P Marchandon de la Faye. Originally published in Paris, 1878 - 1879.
