Malabar giant squirrel (Ratufa indica). This large diurnal, arboreal squirrel is found in southern Asia. It reaches a body length of around 36 centimetres. It feeds on fruits, flowers, nuts, bark, bird eggs, and insects. Here it is feeding on a twig. Photographed in Periyar National Park, Kerala, southern India.
