Yellow limestone, close-up. This calcareous sedimentary rock has formed in thick beds separated by green marl levels, sometimes black if vegetative debris was included during the immersion period. This rockis used as a construction stone. This specimen is part of the Geoscope geological park, located between Les Monts-Vert and Albaret-Sainte-Marie, central France.
