Nylon production. Factory worker's hand handling flakes of nylon at DuPont's nylon production factory at Seaford, Delaware, USA. Nylon was a new material discovered by the DuPont Company in 1935. Full-scale production started in 1939, and nylon was used in a variety of products such as toothbrushes and stockings. Photographed in around the 1960s.
