Baldwin IV and William of Tyre, Miniature only Book XXI. Initial 'M'. Baldwin later Baldwin IV, King of Jerusalem, in dark robe, fighting with another boy; both have bleeding arms, and are encouraged by others behind them. Opposite, Baldwin shows his bleeding arms to a cleric, William, then Archdeacon of Tyre, who discovered from the fact that the wounds did not hurt the boy, that he had leprosy Image taken from History of the Crusades. Originally published in France; between 1250 and 1259.
