King Charles I kneeling. The text opposite is 'The explanation of the emblem'. Image taken from Eikon Basilike. The Pourtraicture of His Sacred Majestie in his solitudes and sufferings. With Praiers, used by his Majestie in the time of his sufferings. Delivered to Doctor Juxon immediately before his death. Also a letter from the Prince, Relations of the King's speeches to Lady Elisabeth and the Duke of Gloucester, and An Epitaph upon King Charls.. Originally published in London, 1648 1648/49.
