Paul Krugman (born 1953). Portrait of the American economist, professor and winner of the 2008 Nobel Prize in Economics, during the Global Policy Forum in Yaroslavl, Russia, in 2011. Krugman is best known for his work on international economics, liquidity traps, and currency crises. He is Professor of Economics and International Affairs at the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University, USA, Centenary Professor at the London School of Economics, and a columnist for The New York Times. In 2008, Krugman won the Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences for his contributions to New Trade Theory and New Economic Geography.
