Midnight sun at North Cape. Composite sequence of the midnight sun passing from right to left as seen from North Cape, Norway. In the high latitudes of the polar regions, the Sun does not set during the summer. This headland is one of the farthest points north in Europe. It is a tourist attraction with the globe monument (lower right) erected in 1978.
