Soyuz TMA-07M launch. Boosters falling away from the first stage of the Soyuz TMA-07M rocket . The boosters burn out after two minutes from launch and are released to save weight. They are seen here as the four spots of light farthest from the rocket. The other two spots of light are the halves of the aerodynamic nose fairing that are released about 20 seconds later. Soyuz TMA-07M was launched on 19 December 2012 carrying three astronauts to the International Space Station.
