Caption

Saturn and Venus at dawn. The planets Saturn and Venus are below centre, above clouds at dawn over coastal waters. They form a diagonal line with the bright star Spica at upper left. Saturn is above and left of Venus, and Venus is the brighter object within the clouds. Venus displays an oval aureole around it, an atmospheric effect that can happen with very bright planets. Photographed from Buenos Aires, Argentina, on 2 December 2012.
