Raspberry Pi micro-computer. This inexpensive credit-card sized computer was created primarily to encourage school children to develop skills in writing code, programming and the development of practical applications of computer technology. It has also attracted many older users who have created hundreds of applications for the Pi. It has been described as a stripped-down Linux PC with an ARM-based central processor unit (CPU) mounted on a tiny circuit board. It has a graphics processor, 512MB RAM and has internet capabilities. The Raspberry Pi was launched in February 2012.
