Particle physics and IBM computer. From left: Charles Baltay (born 1937), Lawrence E. Kirsch, Paolo Franzini (born 1933) and Juliet Lee-Franzini (1933-2014) with computer equipment used in the discovery of the violation of charge-conjugation invariance in interactions of intermediate strength. They are in the Columbia Computer Center machine room, New York, USA. The computer is an IBM 7094 console. Baltay and Kirsch and Franzini worked at Columbia University's Nevis Laboratory. Lee-Franzini worked at SUNY Stony Brook. Paulo Franzini and Juliet Lee had married in 1964. Photographed in 1966.
