Cellulitis of the left leg (right) of a 62 year old female patient. The right leg (left) is normal. Cellulitis is an infection of the skin and its underlying tissues. It may cause a fever and chills, and, if left untreated, may result in septicaemia (blood poisoning) or gangrene. It is treated with antibiotic drugs.
