Swollen chin in an 88 year old male patient. This is an allergic reaction characterised by the swelling of soft tissue in the lips, mouth, larynx and other areas. This reaction was caused by ACE inhibitor drugs, used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure). Angioedema can cause difficulty with breathing and potentially block the wind pipe. Treatment is with anti-inflammatory drugs and antihistamines.
