Endometrial hyperplasia. Light micrograph of a section through tissue from the endometrium, in a case of endometrial hyperplasia. The endometrium is the uterus lining. Uterine hyperplasia is a reaction in the endometrium to excessive or uncoordinated ovarian hormone production. The result is that surface epithelial cells proliferate in both size and number. Magnification: x250 when printed at 10 centimetres wide. Human tissue.
