Cased set of silver tracheostomy tubes dating from 1870, England. Alongside is a cased silver tracheostomy tube and introducer. A tracheostomy is a surgical procedure whereby an opening is made into the trachea (windpipe) via the front of the neck. These antique devices are by Sumner of Liverpool.
