Caption

Shoulder anatomy. Artwork of an oblique left anterior view from below of some of the muscles (red) and bones of the human shoulder. At left is the pectoralis major muscle of the chest. At lower right is the two-headed upper attachment of the biceps brachii muscle of the upper arm. The long head tendon of the biceps (right) passes over the head of the humerus (upper arm bone) through the intertubercular groove. The other tendon (left) is from the short head of the biceps and attaches to the coracoid process. The attachment of the pectoralis major to the humerus is also seen here.
