Caption

Timelapse footage of a beech forest, with shadows crossing the leaf-covered floor. Beech (Fagus sylvatica) is a large tree native to Europe. Although deciduous, it typically retains the dead leaves on its branches over winter, shedding them only when the new growth develops in spring. Filmed in the Clyne Valley Country Park, Wales, UK.
