Diagrams of conic sections. This page contains 21 diagrams used to illustrate a chapter on conic sections, part of the section on pure mathematics. The top seven diagrams relate to the ellipse, three relate to hyperbolas (figures 134, 135, 137), and the final four relate to parabolas. This page is from the 4th edition (1862, first published 1825) of 'Mathematics For Practical Men' by Gregory, Young and Law.
