Megalodon was the largest and most powerful predator in vertebrate history, measuring 14 to 18 metres. It lived approximately 28-2.1 million years ago, during the Cenozoic Era. Squalodon lived from the middle Oligocene to the middle Miocene (approximately 33 to 14 million years ago). They grew to about 3 metres in length.
