Bovine disease genetics research. Geneticist and technician preparing bovine DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) samples for analysis by mass spectrometry. The results are used to assess whether changes in the DNA are associated with pinkeye (infectious bovine keratoconjunctivitis).
