Driving and sleep research. Sleep researcher testing the effects of blue light on the alertness of a driver. Tests have found that a continuous blue light is as effective as coffee in keeping a driver awake and alert while travelling at night. This research is being carried out by attention and neuropsychiatry CNRS researchers from the Laboratoire Sommeil (Sleep Laboratory) of the Bordeaux Segalen University, Bordeaux, France.
