Slug radula. Coloured scanning electron micrograph (SEM) of the radula from a red slug (Arion rufus). The radula is a tongue-like organ found in most molluscs. It is studded with rows of horny teeth (grey), which are used to rasp food particles from surfaces. Magnification: x660 when printed at 10 centimetres wide.
