Caption

The International Space Station (ISS, trail at upper left) crossing the northern night sky, time exposure image. In its fourteenth year of service as of May 2014, the ISS completes one full rotation around the earth every 92 minutes. Photographed on Mount Gargash, close to the town of Kashan, Iran. This is an ideal location for space observation due to favourable weather conditions and exceptional atmospheric transparency.
